Privacy Policy

Tinglewell ("we", "us") is a trade name for a small network of ASMR and ambient channels and the website at https://tinglewell.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you sign up for our newsletter or a free email course, we collect your email address and, if you enter it, your first name. If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages visited, rough location (country or region), device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google Analytics sets cookies and may collect your IP address; we have IP anonymization enabled where Google provides it. We do not use this data to identify you personally.
We do not offer user accounts, and we do not sell or rent personal information.
How we use it
To send you the emails you asked for, to answer your messages, to see which guides and channels people find useful, and to keep the site working and secure. That is the full list.
Third-party services
These services process data on our behalf or set their own cookies when you use the relevant feature. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — site usage statistics.
- MailerLite — stores newsletter and course subscribers and sends our emails.
- YouTube (Google LLC) — embedded videos. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed where possible, which does not set tracking cookies until you press play.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site, protects it from abuse, and hides our email address from spam bots. Cloudflare may log IP addresses for security purposes.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Google Analytics, YouTube, and Cloudflare may set cookies as described above. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Analytics.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from future mailings right away. You can also ask us to delete your subscriber record entirely.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days and will not treat you differently for asking.
Data retention
Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request. Analytics data is retained on Google's default schedule (currently 14 months).
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted on the site.
